Porsche Sports Cup Germany is a club and customer sports series that started its first season in 2005 and has since become an integral part of the motorsport world. Germany’s most spectacular Porsche brand trophy series comprises 12 races on six weekends, with 4 races being held on two weekends (May/October) at the renowned Formula 1 race track, the Hockenheimring in Baden-Württemberg.
The Porsche Sports Cup’s field of participants includes well-known racing drivers boasting years of motorsport experience alongside ambitious and talented up-and-coming drivers raring to battle for the best position on the track. For the total of 12 circuit races all the teams use Porsche GT3 and GT2, with road approval in some classes (Porsche Sports Cup), or the Porsche GT3 Cup version (Porsche Super Sports Cup). The Porsche Sports Cup thus bridges the gap between the Porsche Sport Driving School for amateurs and the Porsche brand trophy series (Carrera Cup or Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup) for racing professionals.
