In its 40th year, the Int. ADAC Truck Grand Prix is opening a new chapter in motorsport: the introduction of the TGP Championship creates the first structured national platform for truck racing in Germany – emotionally rooted in history, clearly focused on the future. The new series will celebrate its world premiere on May 16 and 17, 2026 at the Hockenheimring.
The new TGP championship is part of a strategic expansion of the Truck Grand Prix brand. The aim is to use the strong brand name to appeal to different formats and target groups without losing the identity of the original. The new TGP championship is being implemented in close cooperation with DTR (Dutch Truck Racing), which is contributing its many years of experience in national motorsport to the further development of truck racing.
Truck racing meets youth culture at the Hockenheimring
The new championship is sending out a strong signal with its location at the Hockenheimring, where the TGP Championship will celebrate its premiere in May 2026. Young TGP Hockenheimring is a format that deliberately goes new directions: truck racing meets youth culture, innovation, training and the promotion of young talent. Electronic music, technology and motorsport merge into an energetic event that appeals to young fans, students, trainees and future professionals, offering brands a credible platform for dialogue with the next generation.
