New television home: DTM to be broadcast on ProSieben in future

Nuremberg (10 October 2021). Familiar and still new: DTM will be retained for the broadcasting group, but will be changing the station after four years and will be broadcast on ProSieben in future. With the switch to ProSieben, the successful partnership between DTM and #ranracing is being continued. A corresponding contract to extend the co-operation of many years was agreed upon and announced at the occasion of the season finale DTM Norisring powered by BWT.

Benedikt Böhme, managing director of the DTM organisation ITR GmbH: “We are very happy to be able to continue the successful co-operation with a very reliable partner. We will be providing motorsport at the very highest level for the ProSieben viewers in the seasons to come, too.”

Head of the ProSieben and SAT.1 stations Daniel Rosemann: “This season, DTM has shown a very good development. ProSieben is looking forward to spectacular and sustainable motor racing.”

The 2022 DTM season is getting underway with the first race weekend at Portmão (29 April-1 May 2022) and will be concluded with the season finale at Hockenheimring (7-9 October 2022). For 2022, nine race weekends have been planned with races in Germany, Austria, Belgium and Portugal. The most successful race of the current season, at the Nürburgring on 21 August, scored with a strong market share of 9.1 percent (between 14-49 years).
