BMC Trackdays // The Track is Yours – Driving Fun at the Hockenheimring

“The track is yours” is the motto of the BMC Trackdays at the Hockenheimring. The exclusive one-day experience programme offers private drivers the opportunity to drive their sports car at the limit – and under ideal racetrack conditions. The first of these special “track days” will take place on the Baden Grand Prix circuit on 20 October 2021. The programme is organised by the Badischer Motorsport Club e.V., which is thus opening a new chapter in its tradition-steeped club history. In addition to its many tasks, including as a shareholder of the Hockenheimring, organiser of racing events and promoter of motorsport youth, it now also offers driving events for private drivers with the BMC Trackdays.

“With the Trackdays, the club wants to close the gap between the tourist drives and professional race trainings at the Hockenheimring. That’s why we specifically target sports drivers who find the track too crowded for the tourist drives, but who don’t dare to join the professionals with their road-legal sports cars. Guided rides and rides with a co-driver are also possible. We hope that such a Track Day on a closed and secured track will be a lasting memory for the participants,” says Jörg Bensemann, President of the Badischer Motorsport Club.

Finding the ideal line
At the BMC Trackdays, three groups (with a maximum of 40 vehicles each) will start according to experience and driving skills. Trained instructors support the drivers in finding the ideal line with their sports cars on the race track. The focus is on pure, sporty driving pleasure and, along the way, the participants get to know the driving behaviour of their cars better at the limits and optimise their skills at the wheel. Participation in this full-day programme, including catering, costs 599 euros. Prerequisites are a driving licence and a road-legal (sports) car.
