The Hockenheimring is upgrading its technology: In addition to classic conferences on site, the race track now also offers digital conference concepts. Meetings and events can be held virtually on a small scale or as a hybrid format in the Ring’s various event locations. With the Stuttgart-based company Neumann&Müller Veranstaltungstechnik, Hockenheim-Ring GmbH has found a strong and experienced partner for the technical implementation.
Marco Corbari, who manages the event locations at the Hockenheimring, knows how important virtual meetings have become, especially in the Corona pandemic: “The Corona pandemic caught the entire event industry ice-cold and they literally had to put on the brakes. But this shock soon led to the further development of the meeting culture in digital terms. The Hockenheimring has now succeeded in combining the exciting aspects of a live event such as the sonorous name ‘Hockenheimring’ and the breathtaking view of the Motodrom with the technical possibilities, thus offering customers a broader event format – digital or hybrid – that suits them. More than ever, the Hockenheimring with its locations is in demand as a destination for attention-grabbing and exciting meetings.”
With its high-performance internet connection and good infrastructure, the Hockenheimring has the best prerequisites for all kinds of digital events. Just like for face-to-face events, the customer has personal freedom of design. Three equipment packages that can be selected according to wishes and needs transform the lounges of the south grandstand into professional streaming studios, and additional service and equipment options that can be booked form the individual framework in which companies can present themselves to their teams, customers or business partners.
New conference technology at the Ring: Weframe One
From May onwards, the conference offer of the Hockenheimring will be extended by an innovative, interactive tool. Weframe One combines features such as a white board, flip chart, pin board, monitor and is also ideally suited for video conferences. The multi-touch board has a size of 86 inches, intuitive software and was specially developed for group work. Thus, all meeting participants can control the screen via smartphone, tablet or laptop and add content. In the future, Weframe One will be available in selected locations of the racetrack as well as in the Hotel Motodrom for face-to-face events or hybrid meetings with video conferencing.
