  • 33 super sports cars already registered now ahead of time for 2021 ADAC GT Masters
  • Aston Martin and Honda set to return
  • NITRO will broadcast live pictures from all races taking place in the International German GT Championship

Munich: The ADAC GT Masters will be embarking on its 15th season in 2021 with a field of more than 30 super sports cars from eight different brands. By mid-December, 20 teams had submitted their entries for the International German GT Championship, the ADAC GT Masters, and have thus secured places on the grid. The field will be even more diverse next year as Aston Martin and Honda return to the series. The ADAC GT Masters will get the new season under way in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben on the weekend of 14th/16th May 2021. NITRO will broadcast all races live and in full on free-to-air TV. Advance ticket sales have already commenced and you can make big savings on all tickets purchased online at adac.de/motorsport before the end of December.

In the short space of time from when the season ended in November to 15th December, 20 teams had taken the opportunity to enter 33 super sports cars in the ADAC GT Masters ahead of time. The series will feature even more brand diversity next year. Apart from vehicles from Audi, BMW, Corvette, Lamborghini, Porsche and Mercedes-AMG, an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and a Honda NSX GT3 will again be seen on the grid in 2021. The standard of teams remains high, as the championship-winning outfits from the past six years are back in the line-up and a new team specialising in Porsches, Joos Sportwagentechnik, is now set to join the series after making several test outings this year.

“Working closely with participants over the past few months, we have ensured a high degree of planning security right from the start and can now look forward to having a strong field,” said ADAC Sports President Hermann Tomczyk. “For the fifth consecutive year, teams have entered more than 30 vehicles between them, registering their intention to participate early on. In these times especially, it shows we are on the right track as far as our concept is concerned and sends out a strong signal that we have an extremely attractive series. We can now look forward to delivering a strong International German GT Championship in 2021 along with our new TV partner, RTL NITRO.”

Starting next season, NITRO TV will broadcast pictures from all ADAC GT Masters races. ntv News and the online platforms managed by the RTL Deutschland media group will in future provide information about the Super Sports Cars League. Fans will still be able to watch ADAC GT Masters races online as live stream.
