IDM at the Hockenheimring from 25 – 27 September 2020 // Spectators allowed
When the International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM) starts this coming weekend at the Hockenheimring, fans will be able to sit on the grandstands of the race track for the first time since March.

Due to the Corona pandemic and the regulations in force in Baden-Württemberg, the spectator areas at Hockenheim have been closed for the last few months. Last week, the Ministry of Sport and the Ministry of Social Affairs modified the “Ordinance of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Social Affairs on the practice of sport”. The current version stipulates that a maximum of 20 per cent of the number of spectators permitted in regular operations is possible. A corresponding hygiene concept for the IDM, which Hockenheim-Ring GmbH submitted to the responsible authorities, has now been approved. The focus here is on contactless and personalised online booking, so that contact tracking can be guaranteed. On site, the concept provides for contact minimisation, compulsory masks and, of course, compliance with hygiene standards and minimum distance regulations.

IDM fans can now secure their ticket for the season finale of the motorbike championship. Tickets can only be purchased in advance, seat by seat, via the online shop (www.hockenheimring.de/tickets) and the print@home system. Initially, blocks G and H of the south grandstand can be booked. A visit to the paddock will not be possible due to hygiene regulations, and the original ticket prices have been reduced accordingly. The Saturday ticket costs 14.00 euros, the Sunday ticket 20.00 euros. The offer for savers includes both days at the price of 30.00 Euro. Children and young people up to and including 17 years of age have free admission.
