Munich: The ADAC GT Masters will have a capacity grid in 2020, as 23 outfits have already taken the
early opportunity to secure their place in the ADAC GT Masters, entering 39 super sports cars for the
2020 season. According to the regulations, a maximum of 34 vehicles from the 39 cars registered will
be allowed a place on the grid. The ADAC GT Masters will open the 2020 season in the Motorsport
Arena Oschersleben on the weekend of 24th-26th April. SPORT1 will continue to broadcast all races
live and in full on free-to-air television next year, livestreaming will be available on various digital
platforms.
ADAC Sports President Hermann Tomczyk: “We are very pleased with the excellent response and the
continued interest for the 2020 ADAC GT Masters. The grid will be made up of many long-term
participants plus new teams and outfits returning to the fold next year. This underlines the continued
high attractiveness of the ADAC GT Masters. There are four months to go before the season opener
in Oschersleben at the end of April, and already, we can look forward to an amazing year ahead.”
Within twelve days since the beginning of December, teams have been able to secure their slot on
the grid for the 2020 season via the pre-registration process. 23 teams have registered cars from six
different manufacturers to take part. Some entrants have yet to decide on a particular model. A total
of 34 places on the grid are available according to the regulations. 28 places are awarded on receipt
of the entry fee. The ADAC will allocate the six remaining places.
Teams that contested at all ADAC GT Masters events in 2019 have entered to race once again in
2020. Newcomers to the field include the Belgian W Racing Team (WRT), one of the most successful
GT3 outfits in recent years, plus teams from Toksport WRT and SSR Performance who had successful
