Traffic restrictions during the DTM
Please Follow Signage | Roadworks Affecting Arrival and Departure
From 9 to 11 October, visitors to the Hockenheimring should expect significantly increased traffic on the roads around Hockenheim in connection with the DTM event.
Several ongoing roadworks in the Hockenheim area, as well as other events taking place nearby, are expected to affect traffic conditions. Among other things, the full closure of the L 722 is causing traffic restrictions. In addition, a short-notice roadworks project announced by Autobahn GmbH on the A61, at the connection from the A6 to the A61, is expected to cause further disruptions. Significant traffic congestion, delays and disruptions are therefore to be expected in the wider area around the Hockenheimring.
All visitors to the Hockenheimring are strongly advised not to follow their navigation systems, but to follow the traffic signs on site. When approaching the Hockenheimring, please follow the signs directing you to the respective parking areas. Drivers travelling towards Speyer are asked to follow the designated diversion signs on the motorway.
For visitors arriving by car, parking areas P1, P2 and P6 will be available. Tent campers can use camping areas C2 and C3. The car parks will be open from Friday at 7:00 am until Sunday at 8:00 pm. The camping areas will be open from Thursday at 8:00 am until Monday at 2:00 pm.
We kindly ask for your understanding regarding these unavoidable restrictions and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
