KICK-OFF FOR A NEW TRUCK RACING SERIES
Event date: May 16 and 17, 2026
In 2026, the Truck Grand Prix Championship will launch as the first national platform for truck racing in Germany. The new series comprises three events in which these motorsport giants, weighing over five tonnes, will line up on the starting grid.
The championship has its origins in the International ADAC Truck Grand Prix at the Nürburgring. Since the first race in 1986, the event has developed into the largest truck racing and truck lifestyle event in Europe and attracts more than 130,000 visitors annually. Motorsport, festival and industry platform have made the Truck Grand Prix an integral part of the European motorsport scene for four decades.
In addition to the long-standing event at the Nürburgring, the TGP Championship will in future also include events at the Hockenheimring and the Lausitzring.
On 16 and 17 May, the Young TGP Hockenheimring will host the world premiere of the new championship. Here, truck racing meets youth culture and the promotion of young talent. Electronic music and motorsport merge to create an energetic event for young fans, students and apprentices.
During the day, the racing trucks provide motorsport action on the track. When the engines fall silent on Saturday evening, the paddock transforms into a festival setting with electronic music. Kicking things off is D.MAND, who uses driving beats to herald the transition from the racetrack to the after-race atmosphere.
ELY OAKS then takes over. The Berlin-based DJ and producer is one of the most sought-after acts on the electronic music scene and thrills an international audience.
To round off the festival night, CHANY DAKOTA takes the stage and delivers an energetic set to bring the festival at the Hockenheimring to a close.
