Three days of heart-stopping excitement, thousands of fans and engines revving beyond belief: from 21 to 23 August 2026, the Hockenheimring will once again be the venue for the fastest weekend in Europe. NitrOlympX – which is also an official round of the FIA and FIM Drag Racing – combines motorsport, technology and spectacle into an event that celebrates speed.

Following a record-breaking 2025 with over 47,000 visitors, Europe’s largest drag racing event will once again set new standards in precision, performance and atmosphere in 2026. More than 250 teams will compete in over 20 classes, from Top Fuel dragsters to the extremely high-acceleration bike categories. On the legendary Rico Anthes Quarter Mile at the Hockenheimring, the fastest vehicles with over 10,000 hp accelerate to over 500 km/h in less than four seconds – a dimension of speed that is unrivalled.

RACING UP CLOSE

The open paddock gives visitors a direct view into the teams’ workshops. Here, the teams tinker, tweak and analyse – motorsport up close. The Hot Seats right by the track offer a particularly intense experience, where acceleration, sound and air pressure can be physically felt. Special guided tours provide further insights behind the scenes of the organisation and into the precision engineering of drag racing.

Away from the quarter-mile, the event presents itself as a major hub for European motorsport culture. The exhibitors’ area offers accessories, fan merchandise and vehicle technology, whilst street food stalls provide a wide range of culinary delights.

LIGHT, SOUND AND ENERGY: THE NIGHT SHOW

On Saturday evening, the Night Show transforms the Motodrom into a spectacular interplay of light, movement and sound. Jet dragsters, top fuelers, rocket bikes, pyrotechnics and precisely choreographed lighting come together to create an impressive spectacle. Particularly impressive: tens of thousands of LED wristbands in the spectator stands, which light up in sync with the music and effects, thus making the audience itself part of the spectacle.

Between workshop charm and festival atmosphere, the ambience emerges that has made NitrOlympX a fixed fixture in the European events calendar. NitrOlympX 2026 embodies what motorsport is all about at its core – technology, courage and precision. Here, speed is not merely achieved, but staged and felt.
