A new chapter for the Hotel Motodrom at the Hockenheimring // Work has begun on renovating the restaurant into the Motorworld Inn
Since its opening, the Hotel Motodrom on the start-and-finish straight of the Hockenheimring has been a place where hospitality meets motorsport, where racing legends come and go, and where motorsport history comes to life. More than half a century later, this historic establishment is now heralding a new chapter in its history: a few days ago, work began on converting the restaurant area into the future “Motorworld Inn Hockenheimring”, an experience restaurant in the characteristic Motorworld style and a new meeting place for motorsport fans, connoisseurs and business guests. The opening is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
À-la-carte dining in an automotive ambience with a direct view of the track
The Motorworld Inn brings an innovative dining concept to the Ring: around 200 seats meet an expressive, automotive-inspired design. Industrial style, authentic materials and unusual design elements such as tables with a lift-platform look create a distinctive atmosphere. A planned outdoor area with a view of the race track is set to enhance the experience in future.
With the new restaurant, the Hockenheimring will now offer an à la carte menu 365 days a year – regardless of whether events are taking place on the track. The menu will feature steaks, burgers, pasta and regional specialities. This will make the venue attractive all year round, not only for motorsport fans but also for business travellers, tourists and visitors from the region. Alongside the open-plan restaurant area, modern, versatile rooms are being created for conferences, seminars and exclusive events.
Expansion into the Motorworld Inn Hotel and vision for the future
By 2027, the entire complex will be developed into the Motorworld Inn Hotel, combining automotive lifestyle with contemporary comfort. With easy access to the race track, clean lines and striking design, it will offer overnight guests an authentic home away from home at the Hockenheimring.
Furthermore, joint planning with the Motorworld Group for the “Motorworld Hockenheimring” at the South Stand is progressing. Construction is currently expected to begin in the first half of 2027, with the opening planned for before 2030.
