Traffic regulations during GLÜCKSGEFÜHLE FESTIVAL

From 11 to 14 September 2025, the GLÜCKSGEFÜHLE Festival will enter its third round. Visitors can look forward not only to artists from the pop, rock, hip hop and EDM genres, but also to the numerous attractions on the festival site. In order to coordinate the arrival and departure of festival visitors as smoothly as possible, there are a few things to bear in mind.

One-way street regulations:

One-way street regulations for arrival traffic are not planned for the time being, but may be set up at short notice depending on the assessment of the current traffic situation.

For the departure phase on Friday, 12 September and Saturday, 13 September, one-way traffic regulations will apply from 21:00 in Reilinger Straße from the Hubäckerring roundabout to the L723, the northern bypass from Ernst-Wilhelm-Sachs-Straße to the Schwetzinger Straße roundabout and the northern access road from Schwetzinger Straße/Ernst-Brauch-Straße to the B39.

Road closures:

From 12:00 on Friday 12 September until 6:00 on Sunday 14 September, the Hockenheim northern bypass between Ernst-Wilhelm-Sachs-Straße/Hardtstraße and Schwetzinger Straße will be closed to public road traffic. Passage will only be possible for festival visitors driving to the P2 car park or making their way home from there. During the same period, the connecting road ‘Am Friedhof’ between Ernst-Wilhelm-Sachs-Straße and Heidelberger Straße will also be closed to traffic. Residents, authorised persons travelling to or from the Motodrom, visitors to the cemetery and visitor traffic to P 1 are exempt.

Restricted access to the city centre:

As at past events, there will again be checkpoints at various points to protect local residents. On Friday, 12 September, access to Hockenheim city centre will therefore be restricted from 12:00 to 18:00 and on Saturday, 13 September, from 11:00 to 15:00, i.e. only for authorised persons and residents.

Stopping bans and parking regulations:

On the western side of Waldstraße, between Heidelberger Straße and Continentalstraße, there will be a stopping ban from Thursday 11 September to Monday 15 September. There will also be limited parking spaces available in the station car park.

The following car parks and camping sites will be open for visitors: P1, P2, P6, P8, P9, C3, C5, C5 Zusatz, C8, C9 as well as the car parks and campsites on the route.

Shuttle/taxi/public transport:

In order to improve transport options for visitors, a shuttle bus service will be offered between C8/C9 and P1. Taxi ranks will also be set up on Continentalstraße (west of Waldstraße, opposite the bus stop), Altriper Straße (parking bays) and at the railway station. In addition, a so-called Kiss & Ride car park will also be set up at the station car park
