EXCITEMENT GUARANTEED<\/h3>\n

Top-class riders from all over the world, first-class racing and exciting battles – that\u2019s the <\/em>International German Motorcycle Championship (IDM). The series is regarded as a safe bet for an entertaining<\/em><\/p>\n

weekend. And the finale in Hockenheim is like one big party.<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

As promoter and organiser, Motor Presse Stuttgart has managed to re-establish the once ailing series as an attractive racing event in the heart of Europe, with drivers now travelling from all over the world to compete.<\/p>\n

Major motorbike manufacturers such as BMW, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, KTM, Triumph, MV Agusta and Ducati, not to mention tyre partner Pirelli, are the pillars of the IDM. The strength in depth of the individual classes has increased significantly in recent years. The battle between the brands is at the absolute top level.<\/p>\n

PREMIER CLASS IDM SUPERBIKE<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the premier class IDM Superbike, riders of the highest calibre do battle. Fans can expect to witness breathtaking slides, thrilling overtaking manoeuvres and emotional scenes. In Germany’s highest class of motorcycle racing, the bikes boast over 200 hp. This is also about the prestige of the brands. Everyone wants to know: Can Germany\u2019s Florian Alt defend his title on a Honda this year after a 13-year winless streak for the brand? Or will three-time champion Ilya Mikhalchik from Ukraine reign supreme once again aboard his BMW? Or maybe somebody else will spring a surprise? Riders from over nine countries, including Argentine Leandro Mercado Dutchman Rob Hartog, will be at the start line. Excitement is guaranteed in the battle for the title.<\/p>\n

In the slightly smaller IDM Supersport class, the motorbikes generate around 135 hp. In this now established middle class series, riders reach top speeds of around 270 km\/h. However, the IDM also gives young talent a chance to shine. The Supersport 300 class is a talent factory for young, wild teenagers aged 14 and over.<\/p>\n

Starting at just 40 euros for the whole weekend, fans can enjoy one highlight after the next. Despite its growing popularity, the IDM remains close to the fans. Anyone who buys a ticket also gets free entry to the paddock. Children and teenagers under the age of 18 even get free access to the events.<\/p>\n

The IDM calendar features a total of seven events. The finale hosted by Hockenheim in September also offers a huge spectacle away from the track with autograph sessions, test rides by the motorbike brands and a dealer mile.<\/p>\n
