The 25-year-old showed nerves of steel at the season finale in Hockenheim to become the first Austrian to win the title in the internationally popular racing series on Sunday. The Porsche driver came into the deciding race weekend at the Hockenheimring as the championship leader, and extended his advantage with a lights-to-flag victory on Saturday.
