Ticket-extra: with every valid ticket, you can also visit all standing room sectors of the Hockenheim Ring. Interested in watching the race action from different perspectives? Then start this year with a thrilling tour around the 4.5 km track. Watch the race cars in action from one of several platforms around the circuit.

This is great extra value for all those who want to experience live action in the pulsating “Motodrom” along with a high-speed close-up view of the “Parabolika” stretch and the perfect braking point on the “Spitzkehre” hairpin bend.

You’ll find plenty of information about the Hockenheim Ring and Formula 1 on your way around this traditional race track, including the different platforms – the perfect place to relax with friends.

The footpath around the course is signposted and you can start either at the south entrance (which is also the entrance to the Mercedes Stand) or the north entrance.

You have a choice of grandstands: If you have a valid grandstand ticket for the Grosser Preis von Deutschland race taking place from 29 to 31 July 2016, on the Friday of the race weekend (29 July) you can follow the race action from your reserved seat or you can move between stands to get a wider perspective of the circuit. Try out the view from other stands and experience Formula 1 from a new angle. The grandstand-hopping offer applies to several open stands but does not guarantee entitlement to a seat.

Your own pit stop: experience the teams up close and personal with the weekend ticket! On the Thursday before the race, you have the chance to take a peek into the sacred halls of the Formula 1 teams. Watch more closely the comings-and-goings behind the scenes and experience Formula 1 from a new perspective. You can also take an interesting bus tour along the entire course.

Head-to-head duels: see your idols up close and personal! It’s one of the highlights of the weekend for every racing fan – meeting his/her favourite racing driver face-to-face, exchanging a few words, and getting a very personal autograph. The times of the autograph sessions, you can see at the official timetable.

Formula 1 has come to Hockenheim an incredible 34 times since 1970 and has shaped the history of the racetrack with spectacular victories, dramatic moments and unforgettable legends, and has brought exciting contests time and time again to the asphalt that is soaked in tradition. And it won’t just be F1 drivers who will be chasing best times this July weekend; support races will also be scorching the asphalt and ensuring that the excitement in the motodrome reaches fever pitch.

The drivers in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup support race will also be at the starting line this year, ready to fight for the championship. Drivers of all age groups will be showing off their skills in the sixth of this cup’s nine races.

In addition to F1, both the GP2 and GP3 racing series will start on this weekend in the motodrome. Successful young athletes will be in their element here, ready to show what they can do.

The Formula 1 village is located in front of the South Stand. This is also where you’ll find the show stage, where autograph sessions, lottery draws and interactive events take place. Why not take a short break and enjoy a cocktail? Treat yourself to a new look in our beauty pit stop, where you can find fantastic airbrush/body-painting artists and a hair specialist.

By arrival with car or motorcycle, you will find many parking areas around the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg. You will be guided to the next free space by arrival. Firstly this year, you have the possibility to reserve a parking space at one of the closest parking areas at the Hockenheimring. These areas are only available by booking before the event. 1. Unique historic exhibition
From July 29, together with Unique & Limited Gallery, we will be presenting a one-of-a-kind exhibition of historic motor sport. Stunning images will transport you to Le Mans, Targa Florio, Mille Miglia and other magical places where racing history has been written. Unique, high-resolution photographs and computer-animated images transform these motor sport moments into fine art prints. Come along and have the artists themselves explain the unique technology and unbelievable detail of the artwork. The exhibition can be experienced live throughout the entire F1 weekend in our Motor Sport Museum.

2. 50 Years of Motodrome exhibition
In 2016, the Hockenheimring is celebrating “50 years of motodrome”. 50 years of movement, change and incredible moments. In our exhibition, we use a selection of unique, atmospheric images to give you a real idea of over five emotional decades of the motor sport arena. You can come to marvel at our exhibition of yesteryear throughout the entire F1 weekend in our Motor Sport Museum.

The best racers on the planet, basketball superstar Dirk Nowitzki and an illustrious team of top athletes from other sports will come together at “Champions for Charity” in honour of Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher. On July 27 2016, the Mainz Opel Arena will be the centre of the sporting world. In the tradition of Michael Schumacher’s “Spiel des Herzens” [Game of the Heart] and “Kick für Kinder” [Kick for Kids], the “Nazionale Piloti” team led by captain Sebastian Vettel will play against the “Dirk Nowitzki All Stars” on Wednesday before the F1 Grand Prix at the Hockenheimring as is now tradition. The best of the best will play together for a great cause: 100 per cent of the proceeds for the Champions for Charity match will go to the BasKIDball initiative created by iSo e.V. and the federal association Schädel-Hirnpatienten in Not e.V. The Experience World near the Mercedes-Benz grandstand at the Hockenheimring invites you to discover the world of the Mercedes star throughout the F1 weekend. Visitors are expected to flock to the “90 Years of German Grand Prix” exhibition. Experience the historic Mercedes-Benz pit boxes, a pit lane tour and autograph sessions with former racers. There will be a huge range of entertainment on offer on the stage. Live music, interviews and autograph sessions await you. Experience “Intelligent Drive” in the new E-Class as well as historic rally cars in a unique ride along in the Driving Safety Centre. The Experience World also takes care of your hunger; there are a range of dining options in themed areas that are all linked to the automotive world, and you are invited to relax and enjoy. And if you want even more, there is also the Hockenheim town centre. Paint the town red in the party and fan zone on Karlsruher Straße, where you will be able to enjoy live music, cocktails and much more.

After-race events: fun, fans and music. One thing is for sure: we’ll make your stay on the camping sites a fabulous experience with loads of action. And if you still don’t have enough, the city of Hockenheim invites you to celebrate on the Karlsruherstraße on Saturday evening.
