Then start with a thrilling tour around the 4.5 km track. Watch the race cars in action from one of several platforms around the circuit.

This is great extra value for all those who want to experience live action in the pulsating “Motodrom” along with a high-speed close-up view of the “Parabolika” stretch and the perfect braking point on the “Spitzkehre” hairpin bend.

The footpath around the course is signposted and you can start either at the south entrance (which is also the entrance to the Mercedes Stand) or the north entrance.  In addition you are allowed to go on the tour with our small motorised train for free.

You have a choice of grandstands: If you have a valid grandstand ticket for the Formula 1 Emirates Grosser Preis von Deutschland race taking place from 20 to 22 July 2018, on the Friday of the race weekend (20 July) you can follow the race action from your reserved seat or you can move between stands to get a wider perspective of the circuit (depends on your personal ticket). Try out the view from other stands and experience Formula 1 from a new angle. The grandstand-hopping offer applies to several open stands but does not guarantee entitlement to a seat, please see as in the following:

Your own pit stop: experience the teams up close and personal with the weekend ticket! On the Thursday before the race, you have the chance to take a peek into the sacred halls of the Formula 1 teams. Watch more closely the comings-and-goings behind the scenes and experience Formula 1 from a new perspective. You can also take an interesting bus tour along the entire course. Afterwards there will be a fan party.

Head-to-head duels: see your idols up close and personal! It’s one of the highlights of the weekend for every racing fan – meeting his/her favourite racing driver face-to-face, exchanging a few words, and getting a very personal autograph. The times of the autograph sessions, you can see at the official timetable.

Formula 1 has come to Hockenheim an incredible 35 times since 1970 and has shaped the history of the racetrack with spectacular victories, dramatic moments and unforgettable legends, and has brought exciting contests time and time again to the asphalt that is soaked in tradition. And it won’t just be F1 drivers who will be chasing best times this July weekend; support races will also be scorching the asphalt and ensuring that the excitement in the motodrome reaches fever pitch.

The drivers in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup support race will also be at the starting line this year, ready to fight for the championship. Drivers of all age groups will be showing off their skills in the sixth of this cup’s nine races.

In addition to that BOSS GP and ADAC Formula 4 racing series will start on this weekend in the motodrome. Successful young athletes and professional racing drivers will be in their element here, ready to show what they can do.

The F1® Fanzone is located in front of the South grandstand. This is also where you’ll find the show stage, where autograph sessions, lottery draws and interactive sessions like drivers fitness, pitstopp station or more is taking place. Why not take a short break and enjoy a cocktail?

By arrival with car or motorcycle, you will find many parking areas around the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg. You will be guided to the next free space by arrival.

Jim Clark – The Scottish driving genius and lovable contemporary died in an accident at the Hockenheimring on 7 April 1968 – 50 years ago. In honour of the two-time Formula 1 World Champion there will be a captivating photo exhibition about him that draws from Graham Gaude‘s 400-page book Jim Clark Racing Hero (McKlein Publishing). As Clark was ascending, Gaude was along for the ride as a photographer, reporter and friend. Rare photos from the racing driver’s private life can therefore also be seen.


After-race events: fun, fans and music. One thing is for sure: we’ll make your stay on the camping sites a fabulous experience with loads of action. And if you still don’t have enough, the city of Hockenheim invites you to celebrate on the Karlsruherstraße on Saturday evening.
