After a fantastic 2017 season, which saw a total of 6 events taking place across 3 countries, the Drift Masters GP professional drift series is set to return to the Hockenheimring on September 7th & 8th, 2018, for the fifth and penultimate event of their all-new Drift Masters GP European Championship.
Continuing on from the success of the 2017 season, the Drift Masters organisation will now take things to the next level, as their series hits a total of five countries across their six 2018 events between June and September.
The series will first head to the Wisła Płock stadium in Płock, Poland on June 8th and 9th, before moving on to Máriapócs in Hungary for Round 2 on June 22nd and 23rd. Next up for both drivers and fans alike will be a trip to Latvia on August 3rd and 4th, where Round 3 will take place in Riga on, before the travelling contingent heads back to Poland for another stadium event, this time in Torún on August 17th and 18th.
Then, it’s the BIG ONE – the return to the Hockenheimring on September 7th & 8th. With the series title race almost at the final hurdle, the series’ penultimate event will of course be a must-see, so make sure you stick this one in your calendar!
Lastly then, the series will head west to the green fields of Ireland, where the series will come to a close alongside the final of the 2018 Irish Drift Championship in Mondello Park on September 22nd and 23rd.
With an amazing calendar already set in stone and seeing as the Drift Masters organisation having their sights firmly set on becoming Europe’s “Champions League” of drifting, the main component – the driver grid – of course had to match the stature of the events set out for the 2018 season, and trust us when we say, it does just that.
This year, the series will feature more National and International champion drivers than ever before, as drift superstars the world over will all go head-to-head in attempt to become Europe’s true drift champion.
So needless to say, the 2018 Drift Masters GP European Championship has our mouths watering already and we simply cannot wait to welcome the series back to the Hockenheimring this September. Make sure you clear your schedule on September 7th & 8th, because this one is going to go down in history. We’ll see you then!
